Day 1 - Arrive Prague

Be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel in the historic centre of Prague. Later this evening, you’ll have the chance to get to know your fellow travellers and Tour Director at a Welcome Reception.

Day 2 - Prague

Your exploration of Prague begins with a tour of the World Heritage-listed Old Town. Begin at Strahov Monastery, where you can take in panoramic views of Prague. You’ll then wander across Charles Bridge and arrive in Prague’s Old Market Square. Have your camera ready at the Astronomical Clock, a masterpiece in the Old Town Square that visualises time in a truly unique form. With the afternoon at leisure, you may wish to visit the Christmas Market.  Perhaps join an optional tour this evening to a lively traditional Czech folklore dinner and show.

Travel to a local restaurant and enjoy a lively traditional Czech folklore dinner and show.

Day 3 - Prague

Having become familiar with the layout of Prague, enjoy today at leisure to explore as you please. The Jewish Quarter is a pulsing hub of Semitic history, so perhaps you’d like to head there and learn all about the birthplace of writer Franz Kafka. Alternatively, you may wish to join an optional tour to Prague Castle.

Enhance Your Journey - Prague Castle

Travel across the Vltava River to Prague Castle, which dominates the city skyline. Believed to date back to the 9th century, this castle complex – with its network of palaces and churches – is considered the largest in the world. Join a local guide for a tour through the complex, including St. Vitus Cathedral and the Golden Lane.

Day 4 - Prague, Budapest, Embark Ship

Farewell Prague after breakfast as you board your coach and head to Budapest to board your river ship. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Reception with your fellow travellers.

Day 5 - Budapest

Awake to views of one of the Danube’s most enchanting cities this morning. Disembark and learn the vibrant history of Budapest as your local guide takes you to a host of impressive sights. Afterwards, get into the festive spirit with a visit to one of the city’s charming Christmas markets. Back on board this evening, enjoy a delightful Gala Welcome Dinner while you cruise.

Day 6 - Vienna

Take in Vienna’s Ringstrasse, plus enjoy a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Afterwards, wander through the Christmas markets and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two. As the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread fills the wintry air, you’ll come to realise that the festive season in Europe is nothing short of magical.

Day 7 - Dürnstein, Melk

Disembark in the town of Dürnstein, where you may wish to walk up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Later, cruise through the scenic Wachau Valley to Melk. Take a tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089.

Day 8 - Aschach, Passau

Perhaps join an optional tour to Salzburg or Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Passau.

Insider Experience – Bavarian Experience

Tonight, enjoy a traditional Bavarian experience on board. Sample delicious local beer and snacks, accompanied by traditional folk music, song and dance.

Enjoy a fascinating day excursion to the city of Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, home to more than 300 historical buildings.

Enhance your Journey – Salzburg Sights

Take a trip through the stunning scenery of Austria. Visit Mondsee, where you may recognise the famous Wedding Church from ‘The Sound of Music’. Continue to Salzburg and be guided through the town Mozart called home. Enjoy some free time to explore explore at your leisure before returning to your ship.

Day 9 - Regensburg

Continue along the Danube River to Regensburg, located in the southern region of the Bavarian Forest. Here, wander along its cobblestone lanes, taking a journey through the ages as you explore the historic streets, medieval buildings and cultural sites on your guided walking tour.

This evening, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Day 10 - Nuremberg

Take a city tour this afternoon, which includes sights such as the Zeppelin Field and the Palace of Justice. Afterwards explore Nuremberg further at leisure.

Day 11 - Nuremberg, Disembark Ship, Munich

After breakfast, board a coach and travel to Munich and check in to your hotel.

Day 12 - Munich

Enjoy a guided discovery of the Bavarian capital of Munich, regarded by many as Germany’s most beautiful city. See the famous Glockenspiel on the Town Hall and explore the historic city centre, home to the iconic Frauenkirche. The afternoon is yours to relax or continue exploring. This evening, you will be treated to a special dinner.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Munich today, where you might choose an enchanting optional experience.

Visit Neuschwanstein Castle, nestled in the heart of the Bavarian Alps. Renowned for its fairy-tale architecture, this iconic castle inspired Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, forests and lakes, the castle's interiors are equally captivating, adorned with vibrant murals and an air of grand opulence.

Day 14 - Depart Munich

Your adventure comes to an end today with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
