Afterwards, get into the festive spirit with a visit to two of the city’s charming Christmas markets. Back on board this evening, enjoy a delightful Gala Welcome Dinner while you cruise.

Take in Vienna’s Ringstrasse, plus enjoy a visit to St Stephen’s Cathedral. Afterwards, wander through the Christmas markets and perhaps pick up a souvenir or two. As the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread fills the wintry air, you’ll come to realise that the festive season in Europe is nothing short of magical.

Celebrate a magical Christmas Day in the town of Duürnstein, where you may wish to walk up to the hilltop ruins of the castle where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned. Later, cruise through the scenic Wachau Valley to Melk. Take a tour through Melk Abbey, an active Benedictine monastery since 1089.

Arrive in the ‘Three Rivers City’ of Passau, where the rivers Inn and Ilz join the Danube. Join an optional tour to Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, or travel to Salzburg and enjoy the sights from ‘The Sound of Music’. Alternatively, stay on board and enjoy a relaxing sailing day to Passau. This evening, enjoy a Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Insider Experience – Bavarian Experience  Tonight, enjoy a traditional Bavarian experience on board. Sample delicious local beer and snacks, accompanied by traditional folk music, song and dance. 

Continue along the Danube River to Regensburg, located in the southern region of the Bavarian Forest. Here, wander along its cobblestone lanes, taking a journey through the ages as you explore the historic streets, medieval buildings and cultural sites on your guided walking tour.

Take a city tour this afternoon, which includes sights such as the Zeppelin Field and the Palace of Justice. Afterwards explore Nuremberg further at leisure.

After breakfast today, disembark your ship in Nuremberg and be transferred to the airport in Munich for your onward flight.
