Day 2: Portsalon Links
Opened for play in 1891, Portsalon Golf Club is certainly established and it was one of the nine founder members of the Golfing Union of Ireland, along with Aughnacloy, Ballycastle, Buncrana, County Down, County Club Portrush, Dungannon, Killymoon and Royal Belfast. This is an exhilarating golf course situated in a stunning location with most of the holes weaving their way between sand dunes. The seawater Lough Swilly is often in full view. It’s unpretentious, golf au natural here at Portsalon. The 2nd hole is fantastic, one of the best in Ireland. Winding its way along the Lough, the views are simply breathtaking.

Tee times start at 2:10pm
Day 3: Ballyliffin Glashedy Golf
Ballyliffin is often described as “the Ballybunion of the North” or “the Dornoch of Ireland” and the reason is simple; all the aforementioned are set amidst towering natural sand dunes. This youngster is no exception, except that the Glashedy links has been flattened out, ensuring that the fairways are relatively even and capable of hosting a championship... there's a parallel here to the fairways of Royal Birkdale.

Tee times start from 11:00am
Day 4: Giants Causeway Tour

Day 5: Castlerock Golf
The club was first established in the year 1901. It was initially nine holes, but was expanded up to 18 holes by 1908 thanks to the famous Scottish clubmaker Ben Sayers. The course was redesigned in 1925. Harry Colt made further adjustments to the course. In close proximity to its famous neighbours, Portstewart and Royal Portrush, Castlerock
Golf Club is just as good and is sure to please. On a clear day you can see the Isle of Islay is visible in the north in the West, are the gentle hills that make up Donegal.

Tee times start from 11:00am
Day 6: Rosapenna St Patrick's Golf
Construction of the new St Patrick’s began in April 2018, with Doak’s lead associate Eric Iverson working alongside Clyde Johnson and Angela Moser to complete the build during 2020. The final piece of the jigsaw was put in place when head greenkeeper George Helly who previously worked at Bandon Dunes and Tara Ito was brought in to look after the grow-in leading up to the official opening in June 2021. In only a handful of years, St Patrick's is now listed inside the World Top 50 rankings

Bushmills Distillery Tour
Join one of our whiskey educators to see first-hand how the craft of whiskey- making is carried out here at Old Bushmills Distillery. Walk with them through the living history of our grain-to-glass processes, experiencing the impressive sights and rich scents of each stage from mash tun to pot still to barrel. Then complete your tour in the Master Distilleries Room. Here your whiskey tutor will guide you through the rich aromas and complex flavours of three blended and three single malt whiskies, each with their own unique colour and character.

The members here are very warm and welcoming and if you add this course to a round at both Royal Portrush and Royal County Down, you will have played three of the world’s finest links courses, all of which have played host to the Irish Open. Portstewart was honoured to host the Irish Open for the first time in 2017, when Spaniard John Rahm finished six shots ahead of the field with a 4-round total of 264, which was 24 under par for the tournament.
