Arrive in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina to explore the country’s turbulent and triumphant history before continuing to explore more of Southern Konjic, one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia & Herzegovina, dating back to 4000 years ago. Poised amid some of the country’s highest mountains, Konjic also captivates with amazing architecture, spectacular canyons and peaks, and charming people. Discover the cobblestoned streets and stone buildings of Mostar with its graceful bridge spanning the Neretva River, evoking picturesque scenes from a fairytale. You’ll find serenity beside the flowing Kravica Waterfalls on the Trebizat River as you travel to the dramatic coastline and turquoise blue waters of Split and the Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Ferry on with a visit to the island of Hvar where islands surround the harbor town. Find your purple haze on the “lavender island” of Hvar with a tour of the museum and lavender distillery. Explore the coastal fortress city of Dubrovnik, known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic” as well as filming location of productions such as Game of Thrones. Day 1 - ARRIVE IN SARAJEVO, BOSNIA- HERZEGOVINA
Your Small-Group Discovery Begins! This evening, meet your Tour Director and travel companions for a welcome dinner at your hotel. (D)
Day 2 - SARAJEVO
A History to be Shared Join your Local Guide for an insightful tour of Sarajevo and hear about pivotal moments in its history, including the assassination of the Archduke of Austria in 1914 and the Bosnian War. Visit the Sarajevo Tunnel for a fascinating look at some of this country's trials and triumphs. (B) TOUR HIGHLIGHT HISTORIC FEATS The Sarajevo tunnel is also known as the Tunnel of Hope and was used between 1992 and 1995 during the Bosnian War It was a vital lifeline for the besieged city, used to transport food, medical supplies, and weapons. It also allowed the movement of people, including soldiers, medical personnel, and essential workers. The tunnel played a crucial role in maintaining the city's defence and the morale of its residents.
Day 3 - SARAJEVO- KONJIC- MOSTAR
Fairytale amid the Peaks Stop in the charming town of Konjic situated on the banks of the Neretva River. Continue your journey on to Mostar and join your Local Guide to hear about the turbulent history of this interesting city. (B) TOUR HIGHLIGHT BRIDGING HISTORY Admire the old bridge in Mostar, the city's symbol, ordered by Suleiman the Magnificent, the Ottoman ruler in 1566, to replace the older wooden bridge.
Day 4 - MOSTAR- KRAVICA WATERFALLS- SPLIT, CROATIA
Flowing Beauty Today, take the chance to visit Kravica Waterfalls, one of the country's most stunning natural attractions. Then, continue to Split where dinner at a local restaurant awaits. (B,D) TOUR HIGHLIGHT NATURAL WONDER Stroll the spectacular site of Kravica waterfalls with several magical cascades flowing from the Trebizat River. Follow your Local Guide to learn the story behind the town's name, Kravica meaning 'little cow,' and how the story's happy ending became the town's name. (We won't spoil it just yet.)
Day 5 - SPLIT- BRAC
Natural Treasures Board the ferry for the island of Brač, a hidden gem of the Dalmatian region of Croatia. Join your Local Guide for a tour of the town followed by a visit to the Olive Oil Museum and a tasting of the local olive oil. (B) TOUR HIGHLIGHT LOCAL TREASURES Brac is an oasis of peace, as big as Malta and yet with population of only about 14,000 people. Villages are surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, while the rest of the island is covered with beautiful pine forests.  Enjoy the view of the Dalmatian coast during the ferry crossing and learn from the locals about the treasured Brac stone-a symbol of the island of Brac since ancient times. A natural treasure for centuries, the Brac stone is treasured for use in a variety of works of art, from jewellery to monumental world buildings, including the White House in Washington, D.C.
Day 6 - BRAC- HVAR
Islands in a Dream Today travel by ferry to another jewel, the island of Hvar. Join your Local Guide for a tour of the town and stunning views of the town, harbour, and surrounding islands from the fortress. (B,D) TOUR HIGHLIGHT DRAMATIC STORIES Hvar Island offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, vibrant atmosphere, and cultural heritage, with the oldest public theater in Europe.
Day 7 - HVAR
Lavender Fields Forever Follow your nose to visit a [LF] lavender distillery and museum in Hvar, known to produce the best lavender oil in the world-perfect for small groups. Enjoy lunch afterward with your group. (B,L) LOCAL FAVOURITE PURPLE REIGN Learn why Hvar is known as 'the lavender island' with a visit to the lavender museum to discover how this fragrant flower is grown, picked, and processed from seed to oil for a variety of uses and products.
Day 8 - HVAR- STON- DUBROVNIK
On the Half-Shell Travel to the island of Ston and visit an oyster farm followed by a tasting. (B) TOUR HIGHLIGHT TIMELESS TRADITIONS Oyster farming in Ston dates back to Roman times, and the area's unique combination of clean seawater and favorable environmental conditions has made it an ideal location for oyster cultivation. Visit a local farm to discover why the oysters grown here are prized for their exceptional flavour and quality.
Day 9 - DUBROVNIK
A King's Landing Join your Local Guide for a guided tour of the city. Later bid farewell to your small group travel companions farewell with dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D) TOUR HIGHLIGHT EPIC ADVENTURE It's no mystery why the city of Dubrovnik is known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic." The old town surrounded by its remarkable city walls is protected by UNESCO. Over the centuries this breathtaking city has been an inspiration to many artists and cinematic directors as well. Game of Thrones fans may recognize this formidable setting and the Rector's Palace as a film location for the epic TV series.
Day 10 - DUBROVNIK
