Day 1: Cape Town

On arrival into Cape Town Airport today you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Accommodation: 4 nights Mount Nelson.
Winston Churchill called it “a most excellent establishment”; John Lennon meditated in its lush grounds, and modern-day celebrities from Leonardo di Caprio to Charlize Theron have breakfasted on its sunny balconies. Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, Cape Town, an iconic resort that has been welcoming guests for nearly 120 years.
 
Our location is outstanding, with dramatic Table Mountain just behind and the city’s pulsating attractions just beyond the stone-columned gates, installed in 1925 to welcome the Prince of Wales.
 
We have 198 fabulous, individually designed rooms and suites to choose from, all offering different moods and views. Couples find secluded bliss in the garden cottage suites, decorated with oversized couches, fireplaces and Venetian mirrors. Families feel at home in our spacious, light-filled suites or interconnecting rooms.

Just beyond our gates lie the wonders of the city, from stunning beaches and historic hotspots to vibrant wildlife and adventurous thrills. Forever watching over the hotel is Table Mountain, another wondrous Cape Town landmark waiting to be explored.
Day 2: Cape Town

Enjoy a full day at leisure to enjoy the vibrant city of Cape Town. Meal: (B).

Day 3: Cape Town

Enjoy a half day City & Table Mountain tour – a geographical and cultural extravaganza showing you Cape Town from its historical beginnings to the dazzling, modern city it is today. Table Mountain ticket excluded (as weather permitting). Lunch and drinks are excluded. Meal: (B).

Day 4: Cape Town

Enjoy a full day Cape Point Peninsula tour. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountain views and beach. Continue via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point which is perceived to be the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Go on to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the vulnerable African Penguin. Wooden walkways allow visitors to view the penguins in their natural habitat. End the day with a visit to the well-known Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The Garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays as well as for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. Day 5: Franschhoek

After breakfast this morning you will be met and transferred to the beautiful town of Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands. Meal: (B).

Accommodation: 3 nights Franschhoek Country House & Villas in a Villa Suite.
Franschhoek Country House & Villas, a 5 star hotel accommodation in the heart of the Franschhoek valley complimented by the well known Monneaux Restaurant and a number of guest services on offer for you to enjoy and indulge in. Situated on the outskirts of the Franschhoek Village, only 1km from the main town it is an ideal base to indulge your tastes for fine wines and world class cuisine.
Days 6-7: Franschhoek

Enjoy your days at leisure. Taste a mixture of fascinating history and allow yourself to indulge in the pleasures of the renowned Cape Winelands. Meal: (B).

Day 8: Makalali Conservancy
After breakfast this morning you will be met and transferred approximately 45 minutes west to Cape Town Airport in time for your onward flight to Hoedspruit (flight not included in package). Meals: (B,L,D).
 
On arrival into Hoedspruit Airport you will be met and transferred approximately 75 minutes to the Makalali Conservancy.
 
Accommodation: 5 nights Garonga Safari Camp in a Luxury Tent.
Garonga Safari Camp is an exclusive 12 bed camp in the 22,000 hectare greater Makalali Conservancy situated west of the Kruger National Park. This unassuming sanctuary promises an intimate wildlife encounter in an unhurried environment where you can unwind, sleep deeply and be yourself. The luxury tents are situated overlooking a dry riverbed – each with a wooden deck complete with hammock that commands spectacular views. The rooms are light, airy and spacious with large, draped beds. In addition to the indoor shower, there is an outdoor shower, providing the perfect link between the luxury of the suite and the allure of Mother Nature. The food at Garonga Safari Camp is a fusion of the resident chef’s exceptional culinary skills and there is a varied selection of excellent South African wines – making every meal at Garonga an unforgettable experience. Activities include game drives, wilderness walks, sleep-outs, outdoor bush baths and, for an additional cost, guests can enjoy aromatherapy and reflexology sessions.
Days 9-12: Makalali Conservancy

Enjoy game viewing activities offered by the camp. Meals: (B,L,D).

Day 13: End of Deluxe South Africa Safari

After your final morning game drive and breakfast this morning, you will be transferred back to Hoedspruit Airport for your departure flight. Meal:(B).
