Ancient Mekong to Elegant Yacht: A Southeast Asia Journey

Discover the rich contrasts of Southeast Asia, from a Mekong River cruise through Cambodia and Vietnam to a luxury yacht cruise from Vietnam to Singapore. Encounter ancient temples, floating villages and vibrant waterfront cities, complemented by carefully planned time ashore.
Begin with a Mekong River cruise that weaves together Cambodia and Vietnam. In Siem Reap, dawn light reveals the ancient architecture of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm. From here, journey along the majestic Mekong River to Phnom Penh and Tan Chau, where you can step inside a traditional Cao Dai temple and discover this distinctive Vietnamese religion, before leaving Emerald Harmony in Ho Chi Minh City. Your journey continues with a luxury yacht cruise through Southeast Asia’s coastal treasures, from the dynamic energy of Ho Chi Minh City to remote islands across Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. Wander French-influenced boulevards and vibrant markets, follow jungle trails to tumbling waterfalls, and unwind on palm-lined shores beneath wide tropical skies. Following an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City, travel south to Côn Ðao, an island of quiet beaches, forested hills and poignant wartime history. In Malaysia, explore Redang’s clear, coral-rich waters, while Indonesia’s Anambas Archipelago reveals glassy lagoons, tiny islets and sheltered bays. Continue through the laid-back islands of Tioman and Bintan, where lush jungle landscapes meet an easygoing coastal atmosphere. Thoughtfully planned days at sea invite a slower pace between destinations, before your voyage concludes in Singapore, framed by hawker centres, gardens and glittering city skylines.

Day 1 - Arrive Siem Reap

Sous Sdei and welcome to Cambodia. You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for your included three-night stay in Siem Reap. Stay at the beautiful Shinta Mani or similar, a deluxe boutique property of world-class design that takes great care in honouring the environment and paying homage to the traditional and local aesthetics. Day 2 - Siem Reap

Today, start with a visit to Angkor Thom, not a single temple such as the historic sites it neighbours, but rather one of the most remarkable royal cities of the Angkor Period and an architectural wonder. As the last capital of the Khmer Empire, it was a fortified city, home to priests, officials of the palace, military and buildings for administering the kingdom. Afterwards, visit the sacred Temple of Ta Prohm. In an incredible standoff between human creation and nature, the jungle's root systems have reclaimed this spiritual location now enshrouded in wild vegetation. The backdrop to many Hollywood scenes, the incredible Ta Prohm is both a cinematic and contemplative location. This afternoon is free time to visit the markets or try a DiscoverMORE tour.

This evening as part of your EmeraldPLUS programme, attend Phare, The Cambodian Circus, where a combination of acrobatics, music and dance tell a uniquely Cambodian story.

EmeraldPLUS
