Day 1 - Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Your unforgettable cruise starts in the port of Civitavecchia, gateway to the ‘Eternal City’, Rome. Here, you’ll be transferred to your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht to begin your voyage discovering the delights of the Italian coastline.

Day 2 - Amalfi, Italy - Capri, Italy

The stunning Amalfi Coast, designated a UNESCO World Heritage-listed stretch of coastline, has been a much-loved holiday destination since ancient times. Located in Southern Italy’s Campania region, just south of Naples, the Amalfi Coast boasts idyllic beaches, seaside towns that are home to grand Italian villas and glitzy beach clubs hugging the craggy cliffs that rise from the sparkling sea. You’ll stay overnight in Capri.

Day 3 - Capri, Italy - Sorrento, Italy

Admire the towering cliffs and hidden sea caves, including the Blue Grotto, which is magically illuminated. You’ll stay overnight in Sorrento.

Day 5 - Gaeta, Italy

Gaeta is a popular destination set on a headland that juts out towards the Gulf of Gaeta, in the Lazio region of southern Italy. Apart from the beautiful beach, the key attraction in this historical seaside town is Montagna Spaccata (Split Mountain), a natural sea grotto and 11th century sanctuary. According to local legend, the miraculous rock split was created when God sent a lightning bolt that formed three giant cracks in the mountain, which dramatically plunges into the sea.

Embark on a half-day adventure in Sperlonga, a stunning town perched on a promontory overlooking the sea. Begin your scenic journey and admire the white houses against the azure backdrop. Day 6 - Porto Cervo, Italy

Porto Cervo's marina is crammed with h opulent yachts and is the host of prestigious sailing events such as the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Despite its reputation for luxury, Porto Cervo hasn’t however, lost its unmistakable Sardinian charm.

Villages of Sardinia and Coddu Vecchiu Giant’s Tomb (extra expense)
Drive to San Pantaleo for a brief stop to admire its impressive granite peaks. Continue to the Coddu Vecchiu Archaeological site, home to the Giants' Tomb, a significant example of Nuragic funerary architecture. This well-preserved collective tomb served individuals from the nearby Nuragic Village of La Prisgiona during the Bronze Age. Explore its two-phase construction, featuring a semicircular ceremonial area with a large arched stele. Afterward, visit Baja Sardinia, a charming village with serene views of the Archipelago before returning to Porto Cervo for a leisurely downhill walk back.

In Palau, board a public ferry to La Maddalena Island and enjoy panoramic views of Sardinia's coastline. Stop at Guardia Vecchia for stunning vistas of the Maddalena Archipelago and Corsica. Upon reaching Maddalena, explore the town center, including Garibaldi Square, known as Red Square for its unique red paving. End your day with the return public ferry to Palau, then head back to Porto Cervo. Conclude your adventure by returning to the ship or leisurely exploring Porto Cervo.

Day 7 - Bonifacio, France

Perched atop a narrow limestone peninsula on the French Island of Corsica, Bonifacio reveals breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Take a step back in time, exploring Bonifacio’s atmospheric Old Town, a fortified medieval citadel filled with quaint narrow streets and historic structures. Be sure to visit The Staircase of the King of Aragon (Escalier du Roi d'Aragon), a steep flight of steps carved into the cliffside, which leads down to the clear, blue-green sea. Today choose between our Included Excursion or EmeraldACTIVE option.

Begin your Bonifacio exploration with a mini train ride through the Bosco quarter, featuring St. Francis convent and a fascinating mariners' cemetery. Enjoy panoramic views of Sardinia and pass the Corsican Gothic St. Dominique church, likely built by the Templars in 1270. Take a walking tour through narrow streets with granite houses, visiting the 14th-century St. Marie Majeure church. Discover Two Emperors Street, Place des Armes, and Jardins des Vestiges.

Hike Pertusato
Embark on a scenic journey starting at the port of Bonifacio. Walk along the marina and up the Montée Rostello to reach St Roch Chapel, offering stunning views over the port. Your tour continues eastward, leading you to the cliffs of Bonifacio. Traverse the protected nature site, following the rugged limestone cliffs south-eastward toward Capo Pertusato. 
Along the way, you'll pass by the Semaphore, a naval observation tower that oversees the bustling shipping traffic of the Straits. Enjoy breathtaking views of Sardinia, the Lavezzi and Cavallo islands, and the picturesque citadel of Bonifacio perched atop the cliffs.  After taking in the sights, return along the same route. Please note that guests should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, including sturdy shoes, a weatherproof jacket, a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water. This approximately 3-hour hike involves a change in altitude of about 300 meters and is considered fairly easy, but caution should be exercised near cliff edges.

Embark on an exclusive coastal exploration from the pier. Board a comfortable boat and sail through the scenic channel between Bonifacio's cliffs, passing the historic "Madonetta" lighthouse from 1854. Marvel at the "Little Dragon" marine cave and its natural skylight. Glide past "Fazio Creek" and spot landmarks like the "Rudder of Corsica" rock and the legendary King of Aragon's staircase, carved to transport water. The excursion culminates at the "Grain of Sand" rock, a striking 10-meter formation, ideal for memorable photos.

Day 8 - Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Your luxurious yacht cruise returns to Civitavecchia, an ancient seaport which traces its origins back to the 2nd century AD. Here, your memorable journey concludes, and you’ll be transferred to the airport for your return flight home or to continue your holiday.
