Begin another exciting day with a panga (a Zodiac-like boat) ride along the cliffs of Genovesa Island, which is commonly known as Bird Island. Discover why after landing and walking up Prince Philip’s Steps to a trail which winds past large colonies of Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, great frigate birds, storm petrels, and perhaps the short-eared owl. You can also choose to remain on the panga for a longer ride along the coastline, while kayaking and snorkelling opportunities are also available. Following lunch, land at Darwin Bay, to discover more of the island’s famous avian residents including herons, finches and mockingbirds.
