Day 1 - Cannes, France

Begin your journey in style as you board your cruise in the heart of the French Riviera. Cannes, a city synonymous with glamour and sophistication, offers the perfect backdrop for the start of your voyage.

Your transfer from Nice Airport promises a flawless start to your adventure, bringing you to the heart of this iconic destination.

Wander the charming streets lined with quaint shops and cosy cafes, and soak up the early summer sunshine in pretty Tankerness House Gardens. In a country with an abundance of natural drama, Seyðisfjörður may steal the show. Set at the mouth of a beautiful fjord, this is East Iceland’s heart of culture, heritage and hospitality – and then there’s the architecture. The centre of town is known for 19th-century timber houses perched on the side of the lagoon, built by fisherfolk when the region was booming.

There’s plenty of culture to go with the small-town country charm, complemented by plentiful wildlife, including reindeer and porpoises drawn by the verdant setting of cascading waterfalls and snow-capped mountains.

Day 46 - Husavik, Iceland

Nestled on the edge of Shaky Bay, Húsavík has a long history and was the first place in Iceland to be settled. In the year 860, a Swedish Viking and his crew built Iceland’s first house here as they wintered on the island. Today, it’s known for its colourful houses, unique museums and stunning peaks across the bay, making it one of the prettiest fishing villages in the northeast. It’s considered the Whale Capital of Iceland, and you can spot various species breaching from the deep blue waters regularly between May and September, while pods of dolphins frolic year-round.

Weather permitting, today we visit the jewel of the Westfjords, Dynjandi Waterfall. Feel the freezing mist on your face as you admire the cascading bridal veil falls and discover why it was nicknamed ‘the thunder’. Tumbling down seven tiers over 100 metres, it is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland.

Join the Discovery Team as they lead a scenic hike to the majestic Dynjandivogur Waterfall, known as the "jewel of the Westfjords." Experience the powerful, cascading waters as they tumble down multiple tiers, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Day 49 - Grundarfjörður, Iceland

Grundarfjörður is a picturesque town nestled in the heart of Iceland's stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Explore the quaint streets lined with colourful houses, or venture into the nearby wilderness to discover hidden waterfalls and volcanic landscapes. Make sure you catch a glimpse of the iconic Kirkjufell mountain, a favourite among photographers and nature enthusiasts.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula Express: Journey to Djupalonssandur’s black sand beach, featuring lava formations and shipwreck remnants. Visit Malarrif’s historic lighthouse for photos, pass Londrangar’s volcanic towers and stroll Arnarstapi’s cliffs with seabird colonies and Bardur Snaefellsas’ statue, ending with a scenic drive back to Grundarfjörður.

Coves, Craters & Caves: Admire the Snæfellsjökull Glacier’s mystical 1,446m presence on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Day 50 - Heimaey, Iceland

The earth is always rumbling beneath Iceland. Today, you’ll see a perfect example of nature’s ability to both create and destroy. When the volcano Eldfell, meaning ‘Hill of Fire’, erupted here in 1973, parts of the island were covered in lava and ash, sealing them in a virtual time capsule. Walking through the town, you’ll be able to see signs of the eruption and fallout.  

Keep your eyes open for our black and white friends, with more Atlantic puffins nesting here than anywhere else in the world.

Boat Tour of Heimaey: Set off from Heimaey’s historic harbour, shaped by the 1973 eruption, and cruise the Westman Islands’ wild beauty past cliffs and caves, guided by tales of its past. View millions of seabirds, including 6–8 million puffins, and spot whales, ending with a musical performance in Klettshellir Cave.

Volcanic Hike & Eldheimar Museum: Enjoy a guided walk through Heimaey’s historic harbour, continuing to the lava fields of Eldfell volcano before hiking to its summit for panoramic vistas. Conclude with a visit to the Eldheimar Museum to learn about the 1973 eruption and its impact.

Bus Tour & Eldheimar Museum: Explore Heimaey’s natural harbour and dramatic cliffs, visiting Sprangan’s rope-swinging site and Herjólfsdalur’s Viking ruins. Day 52 - Reykjavik

Reykjavik is the gateway to Iceland’s Golden Circle, a volcanic landscape of geysers, waterfalls and glaciers. The city is the country’s quirky and creative heart, filled with colourful buildings, a buzzing night scene and is brimming with museums.  

Explore the city’s hidden gems on an informative walking tour with an expert guide. Admire the stunning architecture of Harpa Concert Hall, see the enchanting Sólarið Sculpture, and visit Hallgrimskirkja Church, which dominates the city skyline.

Day 53 - Reykjavík > Kirkjubæjarklaustur

After leaving the vibrant capital behind, embark on an exploration of Iceland's enchanting south coastal region. First up, you’ll enjoy a horse show where Icelandic horses demonstrate their unique gaits.

Continue on with a visit to ancient man-made caves, believed to be Iceland's oldest archaeological remains. Here you will learn about the caves' history and sample Icelandic whiskey, local beer and delicacies. You’ll also stop to admire the beauty of some of the country’s best-known waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. 

Day 54 - Kirkjubæjarklaustur

Board an amphibian vessel at Jökulsárlón for a thrilling adventure on Jökulsárlón, Iceland’s largest glacial lagoon. This excursion offers an up-close encounter with majestic icebergs, the chance to taste 1000-year-old ice, and the opportunity to spot wildlife such as playful seals. You’ll also witness massive ice blocks laying on the black sand of Diamond Beach, named so for the way the ice chunks glisten in the sun light like diamonds.

Day 55 - Kirkjubæjarklaustur > Golden Circle

Continue this sensory feast along Iceland's south coast, marvelling at dramatic landscapes, steep canyons, meandering rivers, and ancient volcanic lava fields. Take a leisurely stroll on Reynisfjara, a renowned black sand beach where incredible basalt columns rise from the sea. You may also spot charming Icelandic puffins here. Afterwards, explore the country’s southernmost town of Vík and indulge in the flavours of Iceland at a local brewery with a tasting of exquisite craft beers.  

Day 56 - Golden Circle

Enjoy an unforgettable journey along Iceland's legendary Golden Circle, starting with Thingvellir, a site of historical and geological significance, where Iceland's nationhood was established. Continue to Gullfoss, the iconic 'Golden Waterfall'. Experience the awe of 100,000 litres of glacial water plummeting 31 metres into the Gullfossgljúfur canyon every second.  

Conclude your exploration at Haukadalur, a geothermal wonderland, home to active geysers such as the Great Geysir and Strokkur. Witness Strokkur's reliable eruptions from the windward side every 8-10 minutes, reaching heights of up to 30 metres.  

Day 57 - Golden Circle > Reykjavik / Sky Lagoon

Return to Reykjavik for a one-night stay in the very heart of Iceland’s lively capital.
