In ancient Greece, people travelled to Delphi to seek the wisdom of the Oracle. Learn about the Oracle, tour the excavations, and visit the Archaeological Museum. To add to your Greek experience, enjoy a cooking demonstration where you learn to make traditional tzatziki; take a sirtaki dance lesson, and try a glass of Ouzo. Day 1 - ARRIVE IN ATHENS, GREECE.
Welcome to Athens! At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and travel companions for a welcome drink.
Day 2 - ATHENS.
Marvels & Myths ATHENS Guided sightseeing includes the Acropolis and a picture stop at the Panathenaic Stadium. Free time this afternoon and evening. (B) TOUR HIGHLIGHT HISTORIC SPOTS Explore the heart of Ancient Greece, in the historic empire where 5th-century BC landmarks, including the Acropolis, never fail to amaze! See the Panathenaic Stadium, one of the venues of the first modern Olympic Games.
Day 3 - ATHENS-CORINTH CANAL-MYCENAE-EPIDAURUS-NAUPLIA.
Greek History & Heroes CORINTH CANAL Photo stop. MYCENAE Guided visit of the excavations and museum. EPIDAURUS Guided visit of the 2,300-year-old open-air theatre before continuing to Nauplia. (B) 118 mi / 190 km TOUR HIGHLIGHT LEGENDS & LORE Discover the ancient sanctuary of Apollo in its dramatic setting on Mount Parnassus. In ancient times it was considered the Navel of the Earth as according to mythology this was the place where the four eagles of Zeus met after they were released from the four corners of the world. It was also home to the most famous Oracle.
Day 7 - ATHENS- (EMBARKATION)-CRUISING: MYKONOS.
