Day 1 - Arrive Broome, Derby, Bell Gorge

Depart Broome this morning and journey towards the breathtaking landscapes of Bell Gorge. Along the way, stop in Derby to visit the historic Boab Prison Tree. Estimated to be over 1,500 years old and measuring an impressive 14 metres in circumference, this culturally significant tree once served as a temporary holding site for prisoners during early police patrols. Later, arrive at your Wilderness Lodge and settle in for a two-night stay surrounded by the untouched beauty of the Kimberley.

Insider Experience – Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge

Tonight, indulge in an incredible open-air dining experience at Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Kimberley, enjoy a delicious meal in a charming outback setting. This unique experience continues throughout your journey, with immersive stays at the Mitchell Falls and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodges, where the magic of the Kimberley’s remote landscapes enhances every evening.

Day 2 - Bell Gorge

Today explore Bell Gorge, where towering cliffs frame a series of cascading waterholes. Take a refreshing dip at the top of the falls, surrounded by the gorge’s natural beauty, or challenge yourself with a hike down to the lower pool, where you can swim beneath the cascading waterfall. After your day of exploration, return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3 - Galvans Gorge, Manning Creek, Mt Elizabeth Station

Visit Galvans Gorge for a short walk to a natural waterhole for another relaxing swim before heading to your new Wilderness Lodge. Stop at picturesque Manning Creek and enjoy lunch in the shade of the region’s impressive boab trees before taking a refreshing dip in the pristine water. Tonight, head to Mt Elizabeth Station. Nestled in the heart of the Kimberley, this half-million-acre working cattle station offers a taste of authentic outback life. Enjoy warm hospitality, rich history and a delicious Kimberley meal.

Day 4 - Mt Elizabeth Station, Mitchell Plateau

Journey deep into the heart of the remote Mitchell Plateau, where rugged landscapes give way to lush Livistona palm forests, breathtaking lookouts and cascading waterfalls that tumble into secluded swimming holes. Unwind on the private deck of your tented cabin, immersing yourself in the tranquillity of this untouched wilderness.

Day 5 - Mitchell Plateau

Enjoy a guided walk through Mitchell Plateau today to experience the power and beauty of its waterfalls and marvel at its collection of Aboriginal rock art. Along the way, stop at the serene Little Mertens Falls for a refreshing swim. Alternatively, you can choose to take an optional hike and helicopter flight.

Venture deeper on a longer hike to witness the towering Big Mertens Falls before arriving at the top of the magnificent four-tiered Mitchell Falls. From here, take to the skies on a scenic helicopter flight for a breathtaking bird’s-eye view of this natural wonder (additional expense).

Day 6 - King Edward River, Drysdale River Station

Visit more amazing rock art galleries at the Mitchell Plateau for an Insider Experience before enjoying a swim in the clear waters of the King Edward River. Later, cross the Drysdale River en route to your new accommodation.

Insider Experience – Wandjina and Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) Rock Art

Admire ancient Wandjina and Gwion Gwion (Bradshaw) rock art created by the Wunambal people that dates back thousands of years at a gallery in Mitchell Plateau.

Day 7 - Drysdale River Station, Kununurra

Journey from Drysdale to Kununurra today, taking in the ever-changing landscapes of the Kimberley along the way. This evening, you may wish to indulge in an optional dinner experience.

Day 9 - Kununurra, Purnululu National Park

Journey to the breathtaking Purnululu National Park, home to the iconic beehive-striped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range. Upon arrival, settle into your comfortable Wilderness Lodge, surrounded by the beauty of the remote outback. This evening, enjoy another open-air dinner at your lodge, where you’ll savour a delicious meal while taking in the tranquil sights and sounds of the surrounding wilderness.

Day 10 - Purnululu National Park

Enjoy a full day to explore some of Purnululu National Park’s most beautiful locations. Experience the incredible natural acoustics of Cathedral Gorge, a vast amphitheatre of vibrant rock created by erosion over millions of years. Later, stroll along Piccaninny Creek, winding your way through the park’s unique landscapes. Alternatively, you can take to the skies on an optional helicopter flight.

Take a helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungle Range, soaring over the range’s beehive-like domes and seeing Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek from a birds-eye view (additional expense).

Day 11 - Purnululu National Park, Fitzroy Crossing

Depart Purnululu National Park today before heading for Fitzroy Crossing. On the way, enjoy a special Insider Experience.

Day 12 - Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Broome

Today visit Windjana Gorge, where ancient marine fossils lay embedded in the imposing and beautiful gorge walls. Continue to Tunnel Creek, where you can wade through its refreshing waters as you work your way along Western Australia’s oldest cave system to a hidden oasis. Admire the serene setting before getting back on the road to return to Broome where you'll settle into your hotel for two nights.

Day 13 - Broome

Today is yours to spend at leisure in Broome. Perhaps go for a stroll through town, relax on the white sands of Cable Beach or set out for some optional touring (additional expense).

Day 14 - Broome, Great Sandy Desert, Port Hedland

Farewell Broome and travel through the vast Great Sandy Desert to Port Hedland, a bustling town surrounded by natural beauty.

Day 15 - Port Hedland, Karijini National Park

Set off from Port Hedland today and journey inland over the remote and rugged landscapes of Karijini National Park. Karijini is Western Australia’s second largest national park and is filled with sheer gorges and cascading waterfalls.

Day 16 - Tom Price, Karijini National Park

This morning, you’ll visit the remote mining town of Tom Price, nestled deep in the Hamersley Range. Here, enjoy a tour of the Tom Price Mine before returning to Karijini. This afternoon, experience the beauty of the park on visits to the stunning oases of Joffre Falls and Dales Gorge, where crystal-clear water and vibrant rock amphitheatres provide a haven in the outback setting.

Day 17 - Karijini National Park, Exmouth

Travelling west from Karijini National Park, you’ll pass through the striking ancient outback landscapes of the Pilbara. Spectacular, sparsely populated, and containing evidence of both the world’s oldest pre-historic lifeforms and oldest continuous living culture, the Pilbara is a privilege to explore. Admire the scenery during your journey to the scenic town of Exmouth.

Day 18 - Ningaloo Reef Marine Park, Exmouth

Visit the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Marine Park for today’s Insider Experience. Continue to Vlamingh Head for stunning views of Western Australia’s coastline and the North West Cape.

Day 20 - Monkey Mia, Kalbarri

Start today with a magical dolphin encounter at the daily feeding experience (subject to appearance). Enjoy the chance to stand on the sand within metres of these friendly creatures. Following today’s sensational Insider Experience on the bay, visit Hamelin Pool to view some of the world’s oldest living fossils. Later, continue to the sleepy seaside town of Kalbarri.

Insider Experience Shark Bay Wildlife Cruise

Unwind as you set sail on a wildlife cruise on Shark Bay, a World Heritage-listed marine wonderland. Glide across the turquoise waters in search of dugongs, sponging dolphins, manta rays and other rare and endangered marine life in their natural habitat.

Day 21 - Kalbarri, Nambung National Park, The Pinnacles, Perth

Enjoy the Kalbarri Skywalk this morning, taking in incredible views of the spectacular Murchison River Gorge and surrounding area. Travel to Nambung National Park to see the spectacular Pinnacles rise out of the desert sand. Then continue to Perth, where you’ll enjoy a special Farewell Dinner.
