Day 1 - Buenos Aires, Argentina

Latin passion and European romance spark a dynamic combination that makes Buenos Aires the dynamic city its renown for. The crew will greet you personally with a warm welcome and a sparkling glass of champagne as you step aboard Scenic Eclipse, your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht for the next 11 nights. Meet fellow passengers and acquaint yourself with your luxurious appointed offerings. Toast the beginning of your journey from the top deck Sky Bar, as you wave farewell to the coast and toast with a hearty “saúde”.

Day 2 - Montevideo, Uruguay

The capital of Uruguay, Montevideo’s streets are lined with public buildings and homes that reveal the nation’s architectural history. The Plaza de la Independencia, once home to a Spanish fortress, is the centre of the city, leading to gorgeous Art Deco structures and landmarks including the neoclassical Solís Theatre which opened in 1856.

Visitors will find themselves in a vibrant town brimming with vim and vigour, where musical theatre and cosy tango bars sit side by side. It’s also surrounded by an emerging wine region, where delicious drops are always on hand.

Discover the best of Uruguay’s elegant capital on a panoramic tour of Montevideo’s historic and modern landmarks. Explore the vineyards, historic underground cellar, and oak barrel collection with a member of the Spinoglio family. Enjoy a tasting of four signature wines paired with local cheeses, cold cuts, olives, nuts, and fresh bread, followed by a traditional Uruguayan beef lunch with salads and beverages. Day 3 - Punta del Este, Uruguay

Since the early 20th century, this sun-drenched peninsula has enjoyed a reputation as a favourite holiday destination for the global elite. Referred to as the ‘Monaco of the South’, Punta del Este’s iconic cityscape and incredible beaches attract visitors from all over the world.

Playa Brava, one of Punta’s main beaches, is home to the renowned sculpture of fingertips that emerge from the soft golden sand, called ‘La Mano’. Among other sculptures around the city, the art galleries and museums give Punta del Este an artsy, eclectic atmosphere that makes it a stand-out destination.

Day 4 - At Sea

After a languid sleep-in and a luxurious in-suite breakfast, start the day with a yoga or Pilates class. Afterwards, relax in the sauna or jump into the temperature-controlled plunge pool. The Azure Bar and Café is ideal for casual but upscale dining and affords you a sea view unlike any other. Sip a custom cocktail in one of the eight all-inclusive bars, including the Scenic Bar, where more than 100 whiskey varieties are available.

In the evening, be immersed in a multicultural culinary journey with up to 10 world-class dining experiences. From fine French dining at Lumière (available by reservation) to Asian fusion at Koko’s and a steak cooked to perfection at Elements, you’ll be delighted by unique culinary moments.

Day 5 - At Sea

A day at sea is always a treat when all-inclusive activities abound. The Observation Lounge and Terrace occupies a commanding position at the bow of the ship on Deck 5 and is the perfect place for a specialty tea or coffee while reading a book, playing a board game and watching the world float by. If you’re looking for some quiet reflection or a bit of respite, nestle into one of the cabanas on Deck 10. With a freshly squeezed juice or a refreshing spritz depending on your mood, enjoy the expansive sea views with your complimentary binoculars found in your suite.

Day 6 - São Francisco do Sul, Brazil

Founded in 1658, São Francisco do Sul is Brazil’s third oldest settlement. History lives on in charming cobblestone streets and colonial buildings, many of which are listed on the National Historic Registry. As you sail toward the island, enjoy some of the best views of the town, perhaps from the cosy cocoon of your private cabana, overlooking pastel homes with arched windows and elegant balconies.

Day 7 - Ilhabela, Brazil

The name of this archipelago is Portuguese for ‘Beautiful Island’ and you'll quickly understand why. After taking photos from your Discovery Yacht, disembark for the wonder of this magical destination where craggy volcanic peaks emerge from heavily forested equatorial jungles. It’s home to a multitude of waterfalls, flourishing plant species and breathtaking beaches. Nearly 85% of the island has been turned into a UNESCO-Biosphere Reserve, sheltering a remarkable abundance of plant and animal life, including toucans and capuchin monkeys.

You’ll be back on-board Scenic Eclipse by mid-afternoon, so you may like to book in for an indulgent treatment# in the Senses Spa.

Day 8 - Paraty, Brazil

Like something from a picture book, Paraty’s cobbled streets and chalk-white buildings will have you grabbing your camera. After breakfast on board, venture into the town's friendly streets to begin your day.

Buildings accented with bright swathes of primary colours set against steeply rising mountains, veiled in emerald foliage. There are no cars in the historic town centre, though you may hear the clip-clopping of a horse drawn carriage as you wander the colonial streets. Keep your eyes open for the iconic birds that make this area their home, including jocular toucans, kaleidoscopic parrots and flitting hummingbirds.

Explore the natural beauty and history of Serra da Bocaina National Park on an open-air 4x4 adventure. This island is a natural paradise and 99 percent is cloaked in lush greenery. Swimming and snorkelling are a must if you can stand to leave the dreamy comfort of your beach towel.

Day 10 - Buzios, Brazil

Brigitte Bardot was one of the first to discover the charms of Búzios. The iconic French actor visited this small fishing village in the 1960s, catapulting it onto the global stage where it would eventually become known as the St Tropez of Brazil. Glorious beaches and waving palm trees sit alongside luxury hotels, ritzy boutiques, fine restaurants and chic bars.

Búzios is a charming grouping of three settlements on a small peninsula, each with its own unique allure.
