Day 1 - Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Welcome to the Eternal City, where ancient monuments and elaborate churches sit alongside busy cafes and designer boutiques. Your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht will be waiting at Civitavecchia, a Roman port dating back to the second century.  

When you arrive, be warmly welcomed on board by the Captain and crew. Settle in your 6-star suite and ask the butler to help you choose from the pillow menu. Head to the Sky Bar on Deck 10 and toast the beginning of an unforgettable voyage as you watch the city’s twinkling lights. 

Scenic transfers are only available for flights arriving into Rome prior to 02:00 PM.

Day 2 - Sorrento

Your first stop is Sorrento, a gorgeous resort town overlooking the Bay of Naples. Known as the land of lemons and orange groves, Sorrento’s natural assets have been put to good use; it’s the birthplace of limoncello liqueur. Sorrento is also the gateway to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, which stretches away along the rocky shoreline of the deep blue Mediterranean. Spend your day wandering Sorrento’s peaceful alleyways and discover its historic pastel buildings, grand villas, luxury hotels and picturesque cafes. 

In the early morning, Scenic Eclipse will set sail towards Capri. Enjoy spectacular views from the open deck as the island’s iconic cliffs and shimmering waters come into view, setting the stage for a magical day. 

Scenic Freechoice:
Guided Tour of Pompeii: Step back in time with a guided exploration of Pompeii, remarkably preserved beneath volcanic ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. Discover ancient streets, villas, frescoes and mosaics while learning about Roman life. Conclude with a refreshing drink and a slice of authentic Neapolitan pizza before returning to Sorrento. 

Hike on the Path of Gods & Positano: Travel to Agerola for a scenic hike high above the Amalfi Coast, enjoying breathtaking views of coastal villages and Mount Pertuso. Continue to picturesque Positano, where pastel-coloured houses, boutiques and seaside cafés await. Enjoy free time to explore before returning to Sorrento.  

Walking tour of Sorrento: Explore Sorrento on foot, discovering the Valley of the Mills, Sant’Antonino Church, San Francesco Cloister, historic fishing harbor and charming old town. Admire Sorrento Bay’s views while learning about local history and heritage. Conclude your stroll with a refreshing taste of authentic Italian gelato or lemon granita. 

Taste of Sorrento: Visit a local farm near Sorrento and discover the traditional art of mozzarella making. Stroll through lemon and olive groves while sampling freshly baked bread, cheeses and salami. Meet your gracious host, learn about authentic Italian food production and enjoy a peaceful taste of the countryside.

Day 3 - Capri

Capri’s mythical charm has captured hearts for more than 2,000 years. Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus fell in love with the island in 29BC, building villas, temples and gardens for his own private paradise. Today, its jaw-dropping beauty still draws royalty, celebrities and fashionable travelers from across the world. 

Wander through the Piazzetta and listen to the melodious chiming of the clock tower, admire the impossibly blue ocean as it crashes onto the cliffs, and taste its famous flourless chocolate cake or a fresh caprese salad.

Walking Tour of Capri & Augustus Gardens: Experience the elegance of Capri with a scenic ride to Marina Grande, followed by a funicular ascent to the village centre. Visit the beautiful Caesar Augustus Gardens, take in iconic views, and enjoy free time to explore boutiques and cafés before returning to the pier. 

Island of Capri by Land & Sea: Cruise Capri’s east coast, visit Monte Solaro via chairlift for panoramic views, then enjoy free time in Anacapri and Capri village before descending to the port via funicular. 

Capri Natural Arch & Capri Town Walking Tour: Arrive in Capri town and walk to the Natural Arch through the main centre, enjoying stunning island and sea views. Then return via Via Camerelle to visit Augustus Gardens, followed by a refreshment break. 

Limoncello Experience: Tender ashore to Capri, then travel to a private villa in Anacapri. Craft limoncello from hand-picked garden lemons, enjoy a tasting, and receive a bottle as a gift to take home, concluding with a scenic return drive.

Day 4 - Giardini di Naxos (Taormina)

This morning, you’ll sail through the Strait of Messina, which separates the Italian mainland from Sicily. The passage offers stunning views of rugged coastlines and distant mountains on the way to Giardini Naxos. This popular and picturesque seaside resort stands on the site of Sicily’s earliest Greek colony, offering a glimpse into the island's ancient past. 

Known as the Jewel of Sicily, Taormina was once a stop on the famed Grand Tour of the 19th century. Today it’s packed with luxury hotels, exceptional restaurants and designer boutiques. It’s also the gateway to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe.

Walking Tour of Taormina: Enjoy a scenic drive to Taormina to explore the Greek Theatre and Cathedral, then free time to shop or stroll the medieval streets. 

Etna & Wine Experience: Traverse winding mountain roads to explore Europe's largest active volcano, Mt. Etna, Crater Silvestri, before visiting a local winery. 

Hike to Madonna della Rocca: Travel to Taormina, then hike to Madonna della Rocca sanctuary at 400m altitude, for stunning views of the sea, mountains and Mount Etna. Enjoy a refreshment before returning to the pier.

Day 5 - Valletta, Malta

Imposing protective walls and towering bastions announce the Maltese capital of Valletta as you approach by sea. Situated on a narrow peninsula, Valletta was founded in 1566 by the Knights of St. John and remains a living testament to their vision and glory. Today, the town is a compact historical gem brimming with Baroque masterpieces and captivating stories.

Guided Tour of Mdina & Valletta: Discover Malta’s historic capitals, beginning in fortified Mdina with its medieval streets and panoramic views. Panoramic Tour of Malta with Wine Tasting: Explore Malta’s colourful fishing village of Marsaxlokk and enjoy panoramic views of the Blue Grotto and Filfla Island. Continue through the countryside to a local winery for a guided tasting of Maltese wines and delicacies, followed by a scenic photo stop overlooking historic St. Paul’s Islands before returning.

Day 6 - Tunis, Tunisia

A fascinating crossroads of cultures, Tunis has at its heart the UNESCO-listed Medina, a maze of winding alleyways filled with bustling souks, historic mosques, and ornate palaces. Just beyond the city, the legendary ruins of Carthage stand as a testament to one of history’s greatest civilizations, offering a glimpse into the power and grandeur of the ancient Phoenician and Roman empires.

Carthage & Sidi Bou Said: Step into Tunisia’s ancient and coastal heritage on a guided visit to the legendary ruins of Carthage, followed by time in the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said. Carthage Tour: Uncover the story of ancient Carthage on a guided exploration of its remarkable archaeological sites. Day 7 - Annaba, Algeria

Discover Annaba, Algeria’s vibrant eastern coastal gem and its fourth-largest city, brimming with rich history and cultural significance. Once known as Hippo Regius, it was an important centre of the Roman Empire and the home of Saint Augustine, one of Christianity’s most influential figures. Beyond its archaeological wonders, Annaba boasts a scenic coastline, lively markets, and elegant French colonial architecture, blending European and North African influences.

Guelma & Hammam Debagh: Travel beyond Annaba to experience the Roman heritage and dramatic natural landscapes of the Guelma region. Visit the Roman Theatre of Guelma, enjoy a regional lunch, admire the mineral formations at Hammam Debagh’s hot springs and waterfalls, and conclude at the Basilica of Saint Augustine. 

Hippo Regius & Saint Augustine’s Basilica: Explore the ancient site of Hippo Regius, where archaeological remains and museum artefacts reveal Annaba’s Phoenician, Numidian and Roman past. Continue to the Basilica of Saint Augustine and enjoy a glimpse of the city’s modern atmosphere along Cours de la Révolution.

Day 8 - At Sea

After days of exploration, enjoy some much-needed relaxation on board your Discovery Yacht. Join your new friends over a relaxed meal at the Azure Bar & Café. Graze the day away with included beverages as Scenic’s culinary team goes to the Nth Degree to ensure every dining experience is personalised.  

Enjoy tonight's entertainment at the state-of-the-art theatre before you retreat to your ultra-luxury suite. Alternatively choose to dine in the comfort of your suite and have your evening nightcap brought by your own butler, choosing from a premium collection of wines, beers and spirits.   

Day 9 - Almeria, Spain

Immerse yourself in the rich history of Almería, where the majestic La Alcazaba fortress stands as a powerful symbol of Spain's Moorish heritage. Built in the mid-10th century, it was once one of the country's mightiest fortresses, second only to the iconic Alhambra. As your ship sails into port, enjoy the breathtaking coastal views before stepping ashore to explore Almería’s lively streets and historic treasures. With its perfect mix of culture, history, and stunning landscapes, Almería offers an unforgettable experience that will captivate you at every turn.

Day 10 - Puerto Banús (Marbella), Spain

Known for luxury cars, expensive shops and impressive yachts, Puerto Banús sets the standard in exclusivity. This small town was developed in the 1970s to be the perfect combination of Andalusian culture; part fishing village, part stylish port town with sophistication and elegance. 

Set against a backdrop of immense mountains, wind your way through the town’s narrow streets lined with flower boxes. Or experience one of the excellent golf courses that dot the hills behind the town. Indulge in the vibrant atmosphere of the glamorous bars before returning onboard for an evening of relaxation and luxury.

Day 11 - Portimão, Portugal

On the western Algarve, Portimão is a small port with a bustling historic centre. Spend the day exploring this former fishing town, where architectural masterpieces from the 19th and 20th century seamlessly blend with colourful contemporary structures, fronted by a breathtaking promenade. Visit the shops selling traditional lace, ceramics and leather goods, and experience one of the many fantastic restaurants. Admire the steep limestone cliffs that surround its sandy beach of Praia da Rocha and swim in its turquoise waters.

Day 12 - Lisbon, Portugal

Welcome to Lisbon, the colourful capital of Portugal and a city with a proud history of seafaring dating back more than 600 years. Your journey into wonder ends here after one last sumptuous breakfast on board your Discovery Yacht. Farewell the crew and your new friends as you depart, taking with you memories of an unforgettable journey.   

Scenic transfers are only available for flights departing out of Lisbon after 12:00 PM.
