Day 1 - Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Welcome to the Eternal City, where ancient monuments and elaborate churches sit alongside busy cafes and designer boutiques. Your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht will be waiting at Civitavecchia, a Roman port dating back to the second century.  

When you arrive, be warmly welcomed on board by the Captain and crew. Settle in your 6-star suite and ask the butler to help you choose from the pillow menu. Head to the Sky Bar on Deck 10 and toast the beginning of an unforgettable voyage as you watch the city’s twinkling lights. 

Scenic transfers are only available for flights arriving into Rome prior to 02:00 PM.

Day 2 - Sorrento

Your first stop is Sorrento, a gorgeous resort town overlooking the Bay of Naples. Known as the land of lemons and orange groves, Sorrento’s natural assets have been put to good use; it’s the birthplace of limoncello liqueur. Sorrento is also the gateway to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, which stretches away along the rocky shoreline of the deep blue Mediterranean. Spend your day wandering Sorrento’s peaceful alleyways and discover its historic pastel buildings, grand villas, luxury hotels and picturesque cafes. 

In the early morning, Scenic Eclipse will set sail towards Capri. Enjoy spectacular views from the open deck as the island’s iconic cliffs and shimmering waters come into view, setting the stage for a magical day.

Guided Tour of Pompeii: Step back in time with a guided exploration of Pompeii, remarkably preserved beneath volcanic ash after Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. Walking tour of Sorrento: Explore Sorrento on foot, discovering the Valley of the Mills, Sant’Antonino Church, San Francesco Cloister, historic fishing harbor and charming old town. Admire Sorrento Bay’s views while learning about local history and heritage. Conclude your stroll with a refreshing taste of authentic Italian gelato or lemon granita. 

Taste of Sorrento: Visit a local farm near Sorrento and discover the traditional art of mozzarella making. Stroll through lemon and olive groves while sampling freshly baked bread, cheeses and salami. Day 3 - Capri

Capri’s mythical charm has captured hearts for more than 2,000 years. Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus fell in love with the island in 29BC, building villas, temples and gardens for his own private paradise. Today, its jaw-dropping beauty still draws royalty, celebrities and fashionable travelers from across the world. 

Wander through the Piazzetta and listen to the melodious chiming of the clock tower, admire the impossibly blue ocean as it crashes onto the cliffs, and taste its famous flourless chocolate cake or a fresh caprese salad.

Day 4 - Giardini di Naxos (Taormina)

This morning, you’ll sail through the Strait of Messina, which separates the Italian mainland from Sicily. The passage offers stunning views of rugged coastlines and distant mountains on the way to Giardini Naxos. This popular and picturesque seaside resort stands on the site of Sicily’s earliest Greek colony, offering a glimpse into the island's ancient past. 

Known as the Jewel of Sicily, Taormina was once a stop on the famed Grand Tour of the 19th century. Today it’s packed with luxury hotels, exceptional restaurants and designer boutiques. It’s also the gateway to Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe.

Day 5 - Valletta, Malta

Imposing protective walls and towering bastions announce the Maltese capital of Valletta as you approach by sea. Situated on a narrow peninsula, Valletta was founded in 1566 by the Knights of St. John and remains a living testament to their vision and glory. Today, the town is a compact historical gem brimming with Baroque masterpieces and captivating stories.

Once known as Hippo Regius, it was an important centre of the Roman Empire and the home of Saint Augustine, one of Christianity’s most influential figures. Beyond its archaeological wonders, Annaba boasts a scenic coastline, lively markets, and elegant French colonial architecture, blending European and North African influences.

After days of exploration, enjoy some much-needed relaxation on board your Discovery Yacht. Join your new friends over a relaxed meal at the Azure Bar & Café. Graze the day away with included beverages as Scenic’s culinary team goes to the Nth Degree to ensure every dining experience is personalised.  

Enjoy tonight's entertainment at the state-of-the-art theatre before you retreat to your ultra-luxury suite. Alternatively choose to dine in the comfort of your suite and have your evening nightcap brought by your own butler, choosing from a premium collection of wines, beers and spirits.   

Day 9 - Almeria, Spain

Immerse yourself in the rich history of Almería, where the majestic La Alcazaba fortress stands as a powerful symbol of Spain's Moorish heritage. Built in the mid-10th century, it was once one of the country's mightiest fortresses, second only to the iconic Alhambra. Set against a backdrop of immense mountains, wind your way through the town’s narrow streets lined with flower boxes. Or experience one of the excellent golf courses that dot the hills behind the town. Indulge in the vibrant atmosphere of the glamorous bars before returning onboard for an evening of relaxation and luxury.

Day 13 - Leixões (Porto), Portugal

Spend the morning getting to know your ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht before we arrive in Porto. One of Portugal’s largest seaports, Leixões is just 8 kilometres from the heart of Porto, where the city shares its name with one of the country’s best-known exports, port wine. 

Located at the mouth of the Douro River, Porto is a World Heritage-listed city of baroque splendour, Gothic cathedrals, and incredible food. Wander through winding alleys lined with houses decorated with Portuguese tiles, see the city’s street art, and take in the views from the cable car and funicular.

Day 14 - Ferrol, Spain

Start your day relaxing in your suite. Ask your butler to bring you breakfast in bed or alternatively, choose to savour it in the Yacht Club before arriving in Ferrol. 

Explore the boutiques and Galician-style houses in Ferrol’s Magdalena neighbourhood, a declared Historic-Artistic site, and visit the 18th century San Felipe Castle, where bulwarks and cannons defended the city.

Day 15 - Aviles, Spain

Sailing into Avilés, you'll be greeted by stunning views of the picturesque harbour and its beautiful blend of medieval and modern architecture. 

The city's old town, or Casco Antiguo, features a range of well-preserved medieval buildings and streets. Highlights include the Plaza del Carbayedo, a charming square home to a lively weekly market.  

For a deeper dive into the region's heritage, explore nearby Oviedo, a World Heritage site renowned for its rich history and stunning architecture. 

As you sail out of Avilés, unwind at the Sky Bar and share your travel experiences with fellow guests while enjoying panoramic views.

Day 16 - Bilbao, Spain

Today you'll explore Bilbao, deemed one of the Basque Country jewels. This vibrant city is famous for its striking modern architecture, home to the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which showcases contemporary art and is a must-visit attraction.  

Bilbao also boasts a rich cultural heritage, which can be experienced by visiting landmarks such as the Basílica de Begoña and the Casco Viejo, or the charming old town. It's also a culinary hotspot, with a range of pintxo bars and restaurants serving up traditional Basque cuisine.

The famous La Concha Beach offers beautiful views of the Bay of Biscay, where the historic old town, known as Parte Vieja, is home to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus and the San Vicente Church. Less than ten kilometres from San Sebastián is the picturesque fishing village of Pasajes.

Your visit to Bordeaux is only complete when you sample its world-famous wines at one of the many charming wine bars or prestigious châteaux. Enjoy another overnight to savour Bordeaux's delights until late, taking a leisurely stroll along the Garonne River.

Day 21 - Belle-Île, France

One of France’s most beautiful islands, Belle-Île boasts a lush countryside, jagged rocky coastlines, quaint seaside hamlets and pastel-coloured homes. It is a mythical destination that has long inspired sailors, authors like Flaubert and Dumas and painters like Claude Monet and Matisse. This pristine location can only be accessed by boat, which means that mainstream tourists are few and far between. Explore the islands rich history and gain a new appreciation of its natural beauty. 


Belle Île Panoramic Tour: Experience the highlights of Belle-Île on a panoramic tour showcasing its diverse landscapes and unique character. Enjoy scenic viewpoints, cultural landmarks and photo stops that capture the island’s authentic charm. 

Belle Île, Eden Garden & Port Coton: Visit Eden Garden where the owner will take you on a guided walk. Then marvel at the rock pyramids of the Port Coton Needles.  

Belle Île & Oyster Tasting: Enjoy a short sightseeing tour before arriving at the famous Castel Clara restaurant for delicious local oysters paired with a glass of white wine.?  

Hiking Belle Île from Port Jean to Le Palais: Follow your guide on a hike along the wild coast, admiring pretty coves, turquoise waters and picturesque ports.

Day 22 - At Sea

Start your day with breakfast brought to your suite by your butler, or perhaps with an invigorating work out in the gym or a class in the PURE: Yoga & Pilates Studio. Afterwards, indulge in the 550sqm Senses Spa# reinvigorating your mind body and soul. Access to the spa facilities is all included with only spa treatments* at an additional cost.

Enjoy your time privately or share stories with newfound friends. The Azure Bar and Café is ideal for casual but upscale dining and affords you a sea view like no other. Day 23 - Dublin, Ireland

Your cruise finishes in the Irish capital, an ancient city with a vibrant culture and music in its soul. Savour one last breakfast in your suite before saying goodbye to your new friends and the crew who shared this voyage with you, taking with you memories of a truly unforgettable journey.

Scenic transfers are only available for flights departing out of Dublin after 12:00 PM.
