Day 1 - Lisbon, Portugal

Welcome to Lisbon. Portugal’s coastal capital is famous for its mosaic streets, ancient ruins, white-domed cathedrals and, of course, delicious Portuguese tarts.

Upon boarding your Discovery Yacht, be warmly greeted by the crew, ask your butler to bring a glass of Champagne to your suite and toast the start of the cruise from your private verandah. Then, join your fellow guests on the Observation Deck as you sail north along the windswept coastline for Porto.

Please book your flight to arrive into Lisbon prior to 02:00 PM.

Day 2 - Leixões (Porto)

Spend the morning getting to know your 6-star ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht before we arrive in Porto around lunchtime. One of Portugal’s largest seaports, Leixões is just 8 kilometres from the heart of Porto, where the city shares its name with one of the country’s best-known exports, port wine.

Located at the mouth of the Douro River, Porto is a World Heritage-listed city of baroque splendour, Gothic cathedrals, and incredible food. Wander through winding alleys lined with houses decorated with Portuguese tiles, see the city’s street art, and take in the views from the cable car and funicular.

Day 3 - Ferrol, Spain

Start your day relaxing in your suite. Ask your butler to bring you breakfast in bed or alternatively, choose to savour it in the Yacht Club before arriving in Ferrol around lunchtime.

Explore the boutiques and Galician-style houses in Ferrol’s Magdalena neighbourhood, a declared Historic-Artistic site, and visit the 18th century San Felipe Castle, where bulwarks and cannons defended the city.  

Today, experience the breathtaking views from above in one of our two onboard helicopters^.

Ferrol & Betanzos: Enjoy a walking tour of the medieval town centre, with sights like the 14th-century Igrexa de San Francisco and the 16th-century Igrexa de Santiago. After free time, return to Ferrol for a brief panoramic city tour.

La Coruna & Tapas: Embark on a scenic drive, passing Riazor and Orzán beaches, the Tower of Hercules, and more. Stroll through Plaza Maria Pita and visit a local bar for a traditional tapas experience, sampling Galician wine and local delicacies like cured ham and cheese.

The Roofs of Santiago: Embark on a scenic journey from Ferrol to the enchanting city of Santiago de Compostela. Delight in a guided rooftop tour with sweeping views, then immerse yourself in the city's charm with time to wander, shop, and soak up its historic ambiance before returning to your Discovery Yacht.

Day 4 - Avilés, Spain

Start your day in the PURE: Yoga & Pilates Studio or work out in the fully equipped state-of-the-art gym.

Explore Avilés, a historic city located in the Asturias region of northern Spain. The city's old town, or Casco Antiguo, features a range of well-preserved medieval buildings and streets. Highlights include the Plaza del Carbayedo, a charming square surrounded by traditional buildings and home to a lively weekly market.  

In the evening, share your travel notes with your new friends over dinner in one of up to 10 all-inclusive dining experiences on board your Discovery Yacht.

Day 5 - Bilbao, Spain

Today you'll explore Bilbao, deemed one of the Basque Country jewels. This vibrant city is famous for its striking modern architecture, home to the iconic Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which showcases contemporary art and is a must-visit attraction.

Bilbao also boasts a rich cultural heritage, which can be experienced by visiting landmarks such as the Basílica de Begoña and the Casco Viejo, or the charming old town. It's also a culinary hotspot, with a range of pintxo bars and restaurants serving up traditional Basque cuisine.

Day 6 - Pasajes, San Sebastián, Spain

The famous La Concha Beach offers beautiful views of the Bay of Biscay, where the historic old town, known as Parte Vieja, is home to some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Chorus and the San Vicente Church. Less than ten kilometres from San Sebastián is the picturesque fishing village of Pasajes. Enjoy a late-night departure from San Sebastián.

Day 7 - At sea > Pauillac, France

Enjoy a day at sea before your Discovery Yacht arrives in the evening into Pauillac. Indulge in the expansive Senses Spa#, where you can be pampered with premium ESPA products and treatments blending traditional holistic therapies and modern-day techniques. The 550sqm facilities also include Scandinavian inspired plunge pools, infrared women’s and men’s saunas, steam room a relaxation lounge and outdoor pool area.

As you sail towards Bordeaux’s Medoc peninsula, join your new travel friends in raising a glass of Champagne before enjoying the finest French culinary experience at Lumière.

Day 8 - Pauillac, France

The vineyards around this small town produce some of the most prestigious wines in the world, including three of the five Bordeaux First-Growth wines. Explore some of wine region's highlights or perhaps take one of the complimentary Discovery Yacht’s e-bikes for an easy ride.

In Bordeaux, about 50 kilometres from Pauillac, experience the city's 18th century grandeur, including the opulent Grand Theatre and one of Europe's largest squares, the Place des Quincences. Learn about wine making in Bordeaux's interactive wine museum, La Cité du Vin and perhaps step into an immersive world of art at Bassins des Lumières.

Continue your world-class wine tasting on board at one of Scenic Eclipse's all-inclusive nine bars and lounges. Day 10 - Concarneau, France

In the walled town of Concarneau you can walk along cobbled streets and around 14th century ramparts with views of the harbour and colourful town houses. Visit Keriolet Castle, a 13th century chateau that was given an extravagant neo-gothic renovation by a Russian imperial princess. The pretty and protected bay is ideal for a stroll along the beautiful beach and marina.

Back on board, unwind in the PURE: Yoga & Pilates Studio or raise your heart rate in the POWER: Gym as you sail in the afternoon towards Isles of Scilly.

Later, ask your butler to set a private dinner on your verandah.

They have long been a popular holiday destination for the British, who enjoy the slower pace of life and idyllic surrounds. Wander around the winding paths of Hugh Town, the largest settlement on the islands, with its cluster of charming shops, churches, galleries and cafes.

Day 13 - Portrush, Northern Ireland

The capital of Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, Portrush is set on a mile-long peninsula with some of Ireland’s best beaches on either side. Vibrant blue water and golden sands have made this a popular seaside destination since Victorian times with its historic buildings, arcades and amusement parks. One of Ireland’s most famous natural attractions, the dramatic Giant’s Causeway, is a short distance away along the coast.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at one of up to 10 all-inclusive dining experiences on board your Discovery Yacht.

Join one of our curated experiences available to uncover the depth of this enchanting town.

Join fellow guests on the Observation Deck or relax on your private verandah as you cruise through the romantic Sound of Mull this evening. Look for golden eagles, porpoises, seals and otters as you head to the Isle of Skye.

Day 15 - Portree, Isle of Skye

Admire the spectacular landscapes of the Isle of Skye from your private verandah as your Discovery Yacht approaches Isle of Skye this morning.

Skye’s capital is an attractive fishing port with brightly painted houses around a natural harbour. The ancestral stronghold of the famed Clan MacLeod, the beautiful Isle of Raasay sits just offshore and boasts the extinct volcano of Mt Dun Caan, which rises 443 metres high. Perhaps choose to see Skye’s jagged mountains and cliff faces from above by adding a helicopter^ excursion.

Loch Portree Hike: Discover the north side of Portree Bay then climb a steep zig-zag path for stunning views, finishing with refreshments at the Cuillin Hills Hotel.

Day 17 - Tórshavn, Faroe Islands

Named after Thor, the Norse god of weather, strength, and growth, Tórshavn is one of the world’s smallest capital cities in one of Europe’s least travelled destinations. Wander down cobbled alleyways between colourful buildings with grassy roofs and imagine life in Viking times.

Tonight, you may prefer dinner on your private verandah. Alternatively, raise a glass of Champagne before an extraordinary French meal paired with world-class wines at Lumière.

Day 18 - Miðvágur > Cruising Mykines Island

Spend the morning exploring the village of Miðvágur on Vágar Island. Another former Viking settlement, the town is home to around 1,100 people today. It’s the perfect gateway to the Faroe Islands' breathtaking wonders, including the iconic Lake Sørvágsvatn—famously known as the "floating lake" for its mesmerizing illusion of hovering above sea level.

In the afternoon, you’ll cruise around Mykines Island, where most of the Faroe Islands’ 500,000-strong puffin population nests. Use your in-suite binoculars or the Swarovski telescopes on the Observation Lounge and Deck to take a closer look.  

Your Discovery Team will offer insights and answer any questions about the puffins and their adorable chicks you spot.

Day 19 - At Sea > Seyðisfjörður, Iceland

Relax this morning on your Discovery Yacht before your afternoon arrival in Seyðisfjörður. Ask the butler to bring you breakfast in bed and book in for a treatment# in the expansive Senses Spa, where you can be pampered with ESPA treatments blending traditional holistic therapies and modern-day techniques.

Have your camera ready on the Observation Terrace or Sky Deck for spectacular views as you sail into Seyðisfjörður. The fjord and the brightly coloured town at its innermost corner share their name. Scenic Eclipse will dock here overnight, so you can enjoy an evening in this charming village.

Day 20 - Seyðisfjörður, Iceland

In a country with an abundance of natural drama, Seyðisfjörður may steal the show. Set at the mouth of a beautiful fjord, this is East Iceland’s heart of culture, heritage and hospitality – and then there’s the architecture. The centre of town is known for 19th-century timber houses perched on the side of the lagoon, built by fisherfolk when the region was booming. There’s plenty of culture to go with the small-town country charm, wildlife including reindeer and porpoises, drawn by the verdant setting of cascading waterfalls and snow-capped mountains.

Nature walk Skalanes: Drive to Þórarinsstaðir to visit an archaeological site, then continue through a scenic valley to Skálanes Nature and Heritage Centre.

Rib Boat Tour: Explore Seyðisfjörður by Rib boat, listening to local stories and watching for seals, birds, and whales.

Day 21 - Grímsey Island > Akureyri, Iceland

This morning, you can walk across the Arctic Circle on Grimsey Island, about 40km off the north coast of Iceland. This small island only has around 100 people living in a village by the harbour and is a highlight for bird watchers, with around a million seabirds nesting in the island’s cliffs. Use the Swarovski telescopes on the Observation Lounge and Deck to take a closer look at the puffins, razorbills, black guillemot and other cliff nesting birds.

Day 22 - Akureyri, Iceland

Iceland’s ‘capital of the North’ is the country’s second largest settlement after Reykjavik, but still feels like a friendly small town. Akureyri features colourful homes set on green hills at the base of a volcanic mountain chain. Though it sits just 60km below the Arctic Circle, the climate is pleasantly mild, and the pretty waterfront is a busy port and fishing hub. See the striking Akureyri Church and stroll through one of the world’s most northerly botanic gardens.

Tonight, perhaps indulge in a world-class dining experience at Koko’s Asian Fusion. Enjoy contemporary Asian cuisine in a vibrant ambience.

Day 23 - Isafjördur, Iceland

Isafjördur is the gateway to the Westfjords region on Iceland’s northernmost peninsula. Set on the Skutulsfjörður Fjord, surrounded by mountains and the sea, it has been an important fishing and trading centre for more than 500 years. The well-preserved Old Town is filled with colourful historic buildings set on the edge of the harbour and makes for a picturesque stroll.

The surrounding Westfjords area abounds in natural wonders, with waterfalls, hiking trails, and jagged cliffs. Isafjordur offers vast, uncharted spaces for relaxation and Nordic stillness, making it a popular destination for travellers seeking a peaceful escape.

Valagil Hike: Drive to Álftafjörður for a moderate hike towards Valagil, a spectacular ravine with waterfalls.

Day 24 - Reykjavík, Iceland

Your voyage ends this morning back in Reykjavík, Iceland’s quirky and creative capital. Savour one last breakfast in your suite before saying goodbye to your new friends and the crew who shared this special voyage with you. You'll disembark after breakfast and be transferred to the airport.

Please book your flight to depart out of Reykjavik after 12:00 PM.
