Day 1 - Arrive Adelaide
Your incredible journey of South Australia begins today as you are transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before a welcome dinner at the hotel this evening with your Driver Guide and fellow passengers.
Day 2 - Clare Valley, Port Augusta
Depart Adelaide and head to the verdant Clare Valley wine region. Home to an emerging gourmet food scene, this charmingly secluded region is known for its rolling countryside and welcoming country pubs. After time here, depart for the Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta. Discover how the region has evolved in the ‘Tunnel of Time’ and learn about fossils and the first people to settle here.
Day 3 - Kimba, Ceduna
Depart Port Augusta and travel to Kimba, known as the ‘halfway point across Australia’. Continue to Pildappa Rock for lunch, then journey to the coastal town of Ceduna.
Day 4 - Bunda Cliffs, Scenic Flight, Great Bight
Depart Ceduna early this morning for a full-day discovery. The adventure ends with a scenic flight back to Ceduna over the Dog Fence – a 5,614-kilometre barrier built to keep dingoes and wild dogs off lands where sheep and cattle grazed.
Day 5 - Ceduna, Streaky Bay
Take a tour of the Ceduna Arts and Culture Centre, which provides skills, workshops, training, materials, a working environment and facilities for the creation of Indigenous art. Depart Ceduna and head to Point Labatt, where you may be able to spot some sea lions at one of the only permanent breeding colonies on Australia’s mainland. Take a short drive around Point Westall before settling into the historic Streaky Bay Hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6 - Elliston, Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay
Head to Port Lincoln, stopping at lookouts along the way for sensational views. En route, stop at the small coastal town of Elliston for lunch, situated on the shores of stunning Waterloo Bay. Afterwards, enjoy a special Signature Experience.
Day 7 - Port Lincoln, Whalers Way
After breakfast, drive along Whalers Way, stopping at a lookout over Lincoln National Park. Continue into the park itself, where you’ll have the option to walk up Stamford Hill. Later, travel to Boston Bay Winery to enjoy lunch in a picturesque setting. Established in 1984, the winery produces an excellent range of red and white wines due to its high-quality soils and cool climate. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.
Day 8 - Depart Port Lincoln
Your journey comes to an end today with a transfer to Port Lincoln Airport for your onward flight.
