Frequently asked questions
Southeast Asia is best from October to April, outside the monsoon. North Asia sails March to October. Cherry blossom peaks late March to April and autumn colour peaks October to November, and both book out early.
It depends on the port. Some countries allow a group visa arranged by the cruise line, while others, such as Vietnam, India and China, may need one before departure. Rules change often, so check Smartraveller and ask your RACV Travel agent when you plan your itinerary.
Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Yokohama and Bangkok are the main starting points, all with direct or one-stop flights from Australia. Some sailings are repositioning voyages that start or end in Australia, which suits travellers with time who'd rather skip a flight.
