What makes Celebrity Cruises different?
Celebrity cruise ships are designed by leading architects to achieve a resort-style feel with modern spaces. They deliver the luxury you’d expect from a premium cruise line—while offering the big-ship perks some travellers love, like large-scale entertainment, lively atmospheres, and many dining options.
Sip cocktails at Magic Carpet®—the world’s first floating platform—on Celebrity Edge® or relax in the float pools overlooking the water in the redesigned Rooftop Garden onboard Celebrity Ascent®.
The health-conscious cruiser will love Celebrity’s AquaClass®, with private veranda rooms, premium bath products, complimentary fitness passes, access to an exclusive restaurant, healthier room service options and more. For a taste of luxury, The Retreat®, includes personalised butler service, a pillow menu, 24hour room service and many more luxurious inclusions.
Are gratuities included on Celebrity Cruises?
Only if you’re departing from Australia or New Zealand, otherwise, tipping of onboard crew is not automatically included in Celebrity’s fare options.
It’s a requirement to pay for gratuities. There’s a daily gratuity charge on top of your base fare, which varies according to accommodation booked. For instance, an Oceanview stateroom will attract a slightly lower daily gratuity charge over the AquaClass or Retreat Staterooms.
When purchasing anything additional, like a drinks package ahead of your cruise, tipping of staff has already been factored in so you won’t need to worry about tipping your bartender.
You can also prepay gratuities, so be sure to discuss your options with your travel agent for the most seamless cruising experience.
Is there free Wi-Fi on Celebrity Cruises?
Wi-Fi isn’t free on a Celebrity cruise ship, and your level of access will depend on the fare you’ve booked.
‘All Included’ fares come with the Basic Wi-Fi package for web browsing and messaging. It doesn’t support streaming or video calls, so you’ll need the Premium WiFi package for that. You can upgrade at an additional cost, noting that the Premium Wi-Fi package comes as standard when booking on the exclusive The Retreat package.
If you’re travelling on the ‘Cruise-Only’ fare, Wi-Fi isn’t included. Your preferred internet package, whether it be Basic or Premium, will need to be pre-purchased before departing on your Celebrity cruise.
Are shore excursions included on Celebrity cruises?
Celebrity shore excursions are not included in your cruise fare and need to be booked and paid for separately. You can browse available excursions and secure your booking through the Celebrity Cruises app on your smartphone before you depart. If you can’t decide, you can also book through the app once onboard, though availability may be limited and popular experiences can sell out.
Celebrity also offers discounted packages for speciality dining, premium Wi-Fi and beverages when booked in advance through the app.
For river cruising, one shore excursion per day is included in your fare. Celebrity’s new river ships offer a comfortable, modern way to explore Europe’s iconic waterways, including the Danube and Rhine.
Are Celebrity Cruises adults only?
Celebrity ships are designed to suit all kinds of travellers—solo guests, couples, groups of friends and families alike.
Every ship includes a complimentary adults-only Solarium—a covered pool area designed for quiet relaxation with ocean views. For guests looking for a more premium experience, The Retreat offers spacious suites, a private lounge and sundeck, dedicated butler service and exclusive dining.
Across the fleet, modern indoor-outdoor spaces—particularly on the Celebrity Edge® series ships—create a relaxed atmosphere that appeals to travellers of all ages. For younger guests, the Camp at Sea program offers a wide range of activities for kids and teens, making Celebrity an easy option for families as well.
Are Celebrity Cruises all inclusive?
Inclusions depend on the fare and stateroom selected, and no option is fully all-inclusive.
The ‘Cruise Only’ fare covers your stateroom, entertainment, and complimentary dining. The ‘All Included’ fare adds the Classic Drinks Package—beer, wine, cocktails, bottled water—plus Basic Wi-Fi for messaging and browsing.
Some staterooms offer extras. AquaClass includes wellness-focused dining and amenities, while Concierge Class provides priority services, upgraded room features and a welcome lunch on boarding day.
At The Retreat, enjoy suite accommodation, exclusive dining and lounge access, dedicated butler service, and Premium Drinks and Premium Wi-Fi. This is the closest option to all-inclusive, however dining at other restaurants is additional.
On Celebrity River cruises, all restaurants are included, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and select drinks.
What beverages are free on Celebrity Cruises?
When booking the Celebrity Cruises’ ‘Cruise-Only’ fare, drinks are not included. Guests can instead purchase one of two beverage packages. The Classic Drinks Package includes unlimited drinks priced up to $12 USD and covers a range of beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. The Premium Drinks Package includes unlimited drinks priced up to $19 USD and offers a wider selection, including premium spirits and specialty cocktails.
If you choose an ‘All Inclusive’ fare, the Classic Drinks Package is automatically included. Guests staying in The Retreat will receive the Premium Drinks Package as part of their experience.
You can upgrade to the drinks package of your choice at an additional cost ahead of your cruise.
On Celebrity River cruises, select beverages are complimentary.
What is the best Celebrity cruise ship?
