How many passengers are on Coral Expeditions ships?
With their focus on offering small ship expedition experiences, Coral Expeditions keeps passenger numbers low for immersive small group adventures ashore and a relaxed experience onboard.   
 
The Coral Discoverer hosts 72 guests, while both the Coral Geographer and Coral Adventurer cater to up to 120 guests each.
Is there Wi-Fi onboard?
Yes, standard speed Wi-Fi connectivity is available on all Coral Expeditions cruise ships.  
 
Keeping you connected at sea, the Wi-Fi access allows the sharing of holiday pics on social media, web browsing, emailing, the sending of messages and more.
How many ships do Coral Expeditions have?
Coral Expeditions runs three small expedition cruise ships. 
 
The original of the fleet, the Coral Discoverer is designed to sail the shallow Australian waters of Tasmania, Cape York in Queensland, Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, and the Kimberley in Western Australia, with just 72 guests onboard.  
 
For longer journeys here and ashore, the Coral Adventurer takes 120 explorers to Papua New Guinea and New Zealand, while newest to the small expedition ship fleet and also home to 120 guests, Coral Geographer is equipped to sail the icons of the Kimberley, WA’s Coral Coast and South Coast, and the unspoilt Indonesian islands. 
 
Each ship has specialist expedition tools including Xplore Tenders to deliver guests comfortably and safely to remote beaches and zodiacs for exploring narrow waterways and hard to reach coastal areas.
What is the dress code for Coral Expeditions?
In line with The Coral Expeditions ethos of relaxed Australian expedition cruising, there’s no dress code requirement. When packing, though, it’s important to consider the places you’ll visit so that you dress for comfort and make the most of destinations visited. 
 
Comfortable, sturdy footwear is paramount for guided scenic walks, as well as lightweight, quick-dry t-shirts, shorts and similar apparel for outdoor exploration and water-based activities. Ensure you have enough swimwear to cover you for snorkelling, diving and swimming on various days. 
 
It’s also a good idea to pack warm clothing in case it gets cool in the evenings. A warm shower proof jacket is ideal when visiting cooler climates.
Are gratuities included?
Tips and gratuities are already factored into the cost of your fare and there’s no expectation to tip once onboard, as Coral Expeditions is an Australian cruise company and tipping isn’t custom in Australia. 
 
If a crew member has gone above and beyond in their service and you would like to reward them, gratuities can be paid in cash to the onboard Purser who will then distribute any tips equally amongst staff.
What is included on a Coral Expedition cruise?
Coral Expeditions cruises are near all-inclusive onboard, except for premium drinks, and beverages outside of lunch and dinner service which cost extra. 
 
Meals are prepared by the onboard chef using locally sourced premium Australian produce. Select wines, beers, house spirits, juices, and soft drinks are served with lunch and dinner. A 24-hour barista-style coffee and tea station is available. 
 
All expert-led expedition excursions are included, with the use of Xplorer tenders and Zodiacs to explore hidden wonders, plus kayaks and snorkelling gear depending on the itinerary.  
 
Expert daily lectures, a Captain's welcome and farewell event, Wi-Fi access, and a take-home expedition diary with photo highlights are all included.  
 
Some itineraries also include pre-and-post cruise transfers.
What cruise deals do Coral Expeditions run?
Coral Expeditions sometimes run limited-time only travel sale discounts on certain voyages – usually on selected staterooms and departure dates so keep an eye out for those for the best deal. 
 
On occasion, no sole supplement special offers are also made available on select itineraries, so guests can enjoy a twin share room at no extra cost when travelling solo.
